Comic

For this last assignment I had to make a comic. I had to use a website with all kinds of stories, one of them i had to choose and I made a comic strip from it. I chose the story: some words with a mummy. It's about some scientists finding a mummy and then they give it an electric shock and the mummy comes to life.

These are the colors I used

Figure 2: Colors that i used

In the beginning I made the outline of a human.
And I gave all the body parts a layer so that it is easier to edit in After effects.

When I gave them a color and made the mummy day I was not happy with the end result.
This took me a lot of time. But because I didn't like it, I started over.

Figure 4: First comic

I started drawing for my new comic. I drew the mummy first.

Then I traced it in Illustrator and gave it color. I also used clipping masks.

I also drew and digitized the scientists.

Then I put them in a background and added shadows.

For the electric shock tool I googled what they used at the time. I found a site where they showed a shock weapon.

Then I digitized the weapon.

Below is the end result. I adjusted the title and added the chat bubbles

Animated One Page

To animate the comic, I chose 1 element from each picture that will move, including the title.

I also added a page turn that makes it look like you're turning the page.

Comic Cover Page

For the comic cover page I wanted the mummy in the middle with a calm background and the title at the top. I started drawing the mummy.

Then I digitized the mummy.

I added the background but I'm not happy with the end result so after this I made a new background.

For the second background I wanted Egypt in the background.

Below is the final result of the poster for the comic.
