IDEAS THAT INTEREST ME

I looked for images on Pinterest that I could use for the assignment. I mainly looked for products. I  think a game would be a nice idea. This brainstorm helped me to think for myself about a nice product.

POTENTIAL IDEAS SO FAR

Idea 1:
My first idea is number 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Good Health and Well-being.

This product is a necklace with important medical information that someone always wears. A person with a medical background can always wear this. If something happens, doctors can see what they should or should not give the patient. This can prevent some accidents.

Idea 2:
My second idea is number 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Gender Equality.

Chess is a popular game. But king is worth more than the queen. That is not equivalent. That's why I came up with a new chess game. In this game the figures have been changed to more equivalent figures. The game itself remains the same.

Idea 3:
My third idea is also number 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Gender Equality.

For my last idea, I came up with a new card game that has more equal figures. In the normal candle game you have a jack, queen and king. The king is also the highest in this game. I want to make a game where there are more equal cards.

Idea 4:

I came up with an idea to make a flowchart in which you answer questions and then at the end you find out how big your footprint is

Idea 5:
My last idea is a campaign. It is a poster that creates awareness. This poster shows all the plastic you use in a day. It's playfull because you can count all the plastic. This campaign can still expand considerably. A logo can be made, merchandise can be made, a film can also be made and the poster can be hung and distributed in many places.

Below is the beginning of the poster I made, the bottom of the poster will also be full of plastic.

MY FINAL, CONFIRMED IDEA

I have chosen to continue with idea 5. Below are a few more ideas for the poster. A good sentence on the poster could be: This is what you use in a day, can you count how many there are?

My target group is Gen Z and Gen Alpha, so that the posters can be hung in schools

To make the campaign bigger, merchandise can also be made

I was inspired by a video I once saw. There was a woman who had cancer and often had to be operated. In the video she showed how much waste is used in 1 operation. This video is good for raising awareness because if you have all the waste in 1 picture it looks like a lot more.

PROTOTYPE

For my poster I first started by making the background. I draw several plastics in Illustrator and incorporated them into the background

Figure 10: Plastics in Illustartor

I did the background in a nice bright color that suits the target group.

I felt there weren't enough images in the background so I added more

Then I drew all the plastic that will be in the poster. I also used different bright colors for this so that it stands out.

Below is my first poster. You can count your plastic here and add a line when you have used it.

I also added a box where you can indicate whether you have used more or less than 4 plastics in a day. Also added a text stating what you can do to use less plastic. I also made a logo. These are the 3 hands, they represent the recycle logo and that people must solve this problem together. And there is a QR code so that people can get more information if they want.

FINAL DESIGN

I received feedback from my teacher and made a number of adjustments based on that. There was too much text in the poster so the message wouldn't get across. This poster only contains 1 large design with the most important text.

I also made merchandise for the campaign. I used the logo with te 3 hands in the merch.
