PROJECT 1

EXERCISE 1 - Three favourite graphic design

First graphic design:
Figure 1: Black and white graphic design
Description:
The first graphic design image I chose are actually three images. I think these three are all very similar. They all have the same kind of message, which is to think out of the box and see things from a different way. This quote suits me quite well. I always try to be just a little different from the rest and see things from the other side. I think this is a strong image because it has a strong message and a minimalist design without colour.

Second graphic design:

Figure 2: Toucans graphic design

Description:
The second image I chose is a picture of toucans. A toucan is one of my favorite animals. There is also a lot of color in the image and I love color very much. I think all the colors go very well together and that's why this makes it a good graphic design.

I liked this image so much that I painted it. This graphic design really brightens up my room.

Third graphic design:

Figure 4: Running track graphic design

Description:
The last graphic design I chose is also an image with a lot of color. This image shows a running track with people running on it. What I like about this image is that it seems like people are running to the top. The colors match well and it has a nice message. I also love running and i have been running at a high level for a long time so this image brings back many good memories.

EXERCISE 2 - Collage's design

I bought two newspapers in the store. I looked for some nice pictures and texts and cut them out. Later I got some more newspaper cut outs.

Figure 8: Third collage

Figure 9: Fourth collage

In my last collage I used the rule of thirds and I have a focal point: the gentleman's face with the text "i'm the one".

EXERCISE 3 - Compositing collage

With this exercise we were given a limited number of images that we could use for a digital collage.

EXERCISE 4 - Digital collage

For this assignment I had to choose 1 of the 3 collages and edit it further with other techniques.

Figure 14: Collage 3 edit

So for this new composition I did some few edits. I edited the moon red and I gave it a second moon as a layer. The building is sharper and I give it a shadow. I also edited the old computer. I gave the background a filter.

I learned a lot from this assignment. I now know how to edit and cut out images. I played a lot with the filters and layers for the best composition.

PROJECT 1B - Digital imaging exercise

PART 1: Hearst Mansion

We received 2 images for this assignment, a background and a man. I had to edit the man in the background and I had to make sure the colors of the man blended with the background, reflections in the water and a shadow.
