WORK

For this assignment I designed 3 different tetter types. I wrote all these fonts down with 3 different markers to see the effect.

I decided to continue with the first design.

The next step is to upload the designed file into the FontLab program. You can then download and use your own font.

REFLECTIONS

Week 8
I showed my work to the teacher, she said it's best to continue with design 1. She also said that I still have to think of something for the O, because my O now has no extra design.

Week 9
The teacher thought the font with the written letters (pen 2) was best to use. I thought so too. I still have to adjust the letters E, L, H because those letters have too thin lines.

Week 10
The teacher gave me a tip on how best to indicate the thicknesses and sizes. You do this by making a circle in a new layer and copying it against every other letter and so you can adjust each letter so that everything is the same size.

Week 11
The teacher explained to me how to set the baseline, median line, cap line, ascender line and decline line. I was also unable to place the # in FontLab, so the teacher helped me with that.

Week 12
The feedback for this week is how to adjust the sidebearings & kerning in FontLab. Other feedback is how to insert the comma without making it too big
